My older brother and I are leaving Monday on a 3.5 month trip to Europe and back. Since my brother refuses to fly in airplanes, we will take alternative modes of transportation. First, we will train 3 days to NY, NY. Then, after a brief stop, we will sail to England aboard the Queen Mary 2. Eventually, we will make our way to Germany where our father and little brother live. About a month or so will be spent at the family home and making trips to nearby places. Then, we will return to England for more touring, before finally cruising back to the United States, and eventually “train”-ing back home.
Right now, I'm working on my packing list and making sure my laptop is loaded up with lots of fun computer games and TV shows. These will keep me entertained while I'm 'in transit'. (The complete round trip travel from San Diego to Germany will include approximately 8 days of train riding, and 19 days of sailing aboard ships!) :p
Anyway, this entry is just a test of making a blog post. I hope to post one picture and a short summary of each day of the trip whenever I get internet access. We will see how well it works out.
My next post will probably be from the train station in Chicago, or from my hotel in New York. It all just depends!
