Davin and I got up at 8am today. Davin’s appointment was at 8:40am. Neither of us were thrilled to be up so early. Dad drove us to the Med Center where we saw the Doctor. They removed Davin’s blood catching flask. Then Davin was taken away to get an Xray. We were able to see the plate and 8 screws (I counted them) that had been installed yesterday. The Doctor gave Davin instructions on what he could and couldn’t do.
When we left we stopped quickly at the pharmacy to get Davin’s pain medication. I thought it was really cool cause the lady put the prescription into the computer and the medication was delivered to her down a chute in the wall.
Then Dad brought us back home. I checked my email and got a wonderful long email from Scott for our 6 month anniversary which is today. I also got a coupon from Shutterfly for a free photo book so I decided to make a bonus anniversary present out of that. I worked on the photo book upstairs til noon. I was really hungry by then, and couldn’t believe the day was only half over. I had a snack and then switched gears to work on the blog until 2pm. Baerbel finally finished her work upstairs and made us delicious salmon and rice for lunch.
After lunch, I played Mass Effect 2. Then I made a spreadsheet of Davin’s medical expenses so far and their dollar amounts by using the exchange rates for the appropriate days. This he can use to reimburse himself from his Health Savings Account.
Then around 9pm, I used the sauna that is in Dad and Baerbel’s bathroom. It’s pretty cool to own a sauna! I had never used it before, but now I can say I have. It was very relaxing. Afterwards, I watched one Star Trek: Voyager, and went to bed early. Davin played Mass Effect 2.
