Today I slept in until 10:30am. Then I read links til 11:30am. Our plan for today was to go to Pottenstein at 11pm to the Roddelbahn and Kletterwald, but noone was around at that time. No sign of the parents anywhere. I woke my brothers up at 11:30am. When Jona came downstairs he spotted Dad outside. I guess he had been doing yard work outside the whole morning.
Dad came in and whipped us up a spaghetti lunch. Davin told us that he’s now having problems with blood in his stool. Gross. I suggested it might be a side effect of his pain medication.
After lunch, Dad and I went to the train station and bought my ticket to visit Lissy in Dresden this weekend. Then we mailed Suse’s package at post office. It only cost 4Euros 10Cents to send it. When we headed back to our car, we saw Tim, my little brother’s friend, approaching us. I guess he found out about the climbing park plans and came to meet us to catch a ride.
Back at the house, the whole family piled into the car. Dad read the pain medication paper and found that stomach and intestinal bleeding is a possible side effect of the medication. Davin decided he would stop taking it anymore.
In Pottenstein, Davin, Jona, Tim, and I all rode the Roddelbahn 3 times. There are two different ones at this site. One is a traditional in-ground Roddelbahn, and the other is on an elevated track. The elevated Roddelbahn is faster, smoother, and the ride is over very quick. The in-ground Roddelbahn is slower but has no seat belt and has more bumps, so it feels more thrilling and dangerous. Davin and I like the in-ground Roddelbahn better, and Tim and Jona like the elevated Roddelbahn better. I heckled Jonathan with memories of when he used to be scared to ride on the Roddelbahn. That was years ago of course.
Next we went to the Kletterwald. Davin could not climb in the trees because of his injury, so he watched Jona, Tim and I and took pictures. We had a lot of fun and got very tired. We did three routes in two hours.
On the way home, we stopped for dinner at the NeuMuehle. I had Pfefferrahm schnitzel. Schnitzel but with a twist! It was quite good, though I felt a bit sick of pepper by the time I finished. I traded a piece of it to Davin because he really wanted to try it too. Then I had a mediocre apple cake for dessert, and Davin had a banana split!
We made it home around 9pm. I worked on the photobook until 11:00pm. When I was too tired to look at it anymore, I decided it was finished, and ordered it with my free coupon. Then I went to bed around midnight.
