My alarm went off at 9am, and I got up to Skype with Scott. We didn’t talk too long though, because he needed to get some sleep. From 11am to 1pm, I more or less got caught up on my blog.
For lunch today we had leftover pizza and leftover potato casserole. The pizza was good but I wasn’t so impressed with the casserole. I thought it was kind of bland. During lunch, we got a call from Jonathan who stayed over at a friend’s house last night. He said he was ready to get picked up.
On the way to pick up Jonathan, Baerbel took us to the Med Center to get Davin’s stitches removed. The nurses kept asking if it hurt to remove the stitches, but Davin said it didn’t really hurt. Once that was finished, we got a letter from the doctor explaining that Davin had surgery and a titanium plate installed, and also got copies of his post-operative Xrays. These we have for our records and also in case we have any trouble going through metal detectors...
On the way home, we bought some cake from the store. Then we had a nice leisurely tea time at home out on the patio. Davin kept telling me to hurry up and guzzle my tea and gobble up my cake so that I could cut his hair. I ignored him.
After I finished eating, I cut Davin’s hair. He kept chewing me out for eating too slow. The sun had gone behind a cloud and it was cold outside (our hair cutting location) and he blamed my slowness for this. He got me so flustered that I almost cut his hair to the shortest possible length. In fact the only thing that saved him was that as I brought the electric razor towards him to start cutting, he stood up and stormed inside because it was too cold. I literally got to his neck and would have started going without realizing! Hahaha.
Dad and Baerbel then told Davin he could have his hair cut inside in Jona’s bathtub. So Davin marched upstairs and barged into the bathroom only to have Jonathan yell that he was in the bathtub! Lol. In the end, Davin came back outside and had his hair cut with an old blanket on his lap.
Once that was finished, Jona, Davin, and I played Borderlands together. We were determined to finish the game tonight! We had to take a break around 7pm to help grill dinner with Dad. Then we ate dinner and returned to Borderlands.
At 8:30pm, I took a break from Borderlands to Skype with Scott because my Six Month Anniversary present had finally arrived, and he wanted to watch me open it. Inside a nicely painted box, I found 50 love poems, and a beautiful necklace and earrings. The necklace is by far the most beautiful necklace I now own. Scott was only able to Skype with me in the evening because he had Labor Day off from work. So once I finished opening my present he had to run off to work on his car, and I had to get back to playing Borderlands with my brothers.
Around 10:30pm, we finally beat Borderlands! Yay! Jona and I were surprised at how completely, and utterly lame the end of the game was. It is the worst game ending in my memory of game endings. I thought it was pretty funny. Davin admitted that he expected us to be disappointed. Apparently, pretty much everyone who plays the game finds the ending to be a total disappointment.
Then, Davin and I packed for going to Wuerzburg tomorrow, I said goodbye and goodnight to Scott, and went to bed around 11:30pm.
Poor Davin... drink more MILK!! and eat more calcium tablets like desperate housewives down pills... Kristin, for all the snoring... i feel sorry for you. (my dad has lion-roar snores...)
