We woke up at 11:30am today. I went upstairs and got a plate of cinnamon rolls and other sweet pastries for our breakfast. I brought it back to our room and we ate those while we watched a Voyager.
Then I worked on my B&B RPG. It’s coming along and is a lot of fun to create. Davin worked on his RPG too. After awhile, I suggested we take a break and walk around the ship. Yesterday we hardly left the room at all. The ship was rocking a lot and we were being lazy.
We went to deck 6 and walked the outside ring. 3.5 laps equals a mile, so we jogged one lap and walked the rest. We are in horrible aerobic shape. We could walk for miles and miles, but once we start running we are exhausted in no time. Tomorrow we will try jogging 2 laps, and slowly build our way up to the whole mile. Davin says he will be happy when he can run 1 mile relatively easily, and hopes to run 1 mile a day once we get back home.
We returned to our room, but our Purser was in the process of cleaning it. So D and I went downstairs to see what they were serving for lunch in the Seven Seas ‘sit down’ restaurant. Davin saw they were serving Banana Cream Pie for dessert, so we naturally had to eat lunch there to get it! I’m sure we could’ve just had dessert, but we were in no hurry, so we decided to have our entire lunch.
One thing I like about the Seven Seas lunches is that they are all really small portions. If you ate there 3 times a day you would probably lose weight on the cruise! I noticed that people get around the portion size by ordering multiple appetizers and entrees however... We were happy with the small lunch though.
I ordered Mexican Cheese Puffs for an appetizer, Goat cheese ravioli for an entree, and Banana Cream Pie for dessert. It was all delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the cream puffs, they were nice and tangy and spicy. They kind of reminded me of the Las Vegas Rolls we get from one of our favorite Japanese restaurants back home. The ravioli was delicious too, nothing real special about goat cheese compared to regular cheese though.
Davin ordered a seafood cocktail, a glass filled with shrimps and other seafood. I tasted it and thought it was very fishy. Davin thought it was pretty good though. For an entree, he had Mexican eggs. He liked that too, but it would have been better without the BBQ sauce. We both hate BBQ sauce. Nasty stuff. Then of course he had a Banana Cream Pie for dessert. He found that very delicious.
We returned to our room, and I went back to my B&B game. Davin played a little Max Payne. Eventually we went out to Las Ramblas and got some chips and salsa. We brought it back to the room and watched a Voyager.
Next, I cut Davin’s hair in our bathroom. D is very happy to have short hair again! He spent 15 minutes cleaning up the hair that got everywhere. I was doubtful myself, but it worked out just fine. I think he can last til we get home to get a hair cut again. While Davin was cleaning up I worked on B&B again. (Looking back, I guess B&B is almost all I did today! I didn’t feel like that much time though!)
We went to dinner at 10:30 our time. Then we watched one more Voyager before bed at 12:30am. Ships time changed again, so we really went to bed at 10:30pm.
